Girlfriends

Another wonderful time spent with the best of friends! Deird was just about to deliver her second baby and we still didn’t know if was a boy or a girl! I am thrilled to announce that baby Gunnar arrived safe and sound on May 19, 2011. He is PERFECT and I love holding him. Every time we are all together I try to steal him as fast as I can so I can just hold onto him for the entire evening.

Daddy's Birthday

We celebrated Corey’s 36th birthday with a yummy cake, a ton of homemade cards from the kids that had us all belly laughing and his new 10 person tent! This tent is AWESOME and we FINALLY feel like we have room to move around when we go camping. Lanie plays dress up everyday and today it happened to be in the pumpkin Halloween costume. No we did not mess up this post with an old Halloween pic. ;-)

Friends and Fake Firearms Fun

From Friends and Fun

Boys will be boys. It seems as though we always have several neighbor kids over to play, something I LOVE! The boys will run through the woods for hours playing their games. This post also has a picture of the neighbor bunny that was found in a garden and the kids playing dress up.

Bring your Kids to Work Day!

CJ and Maddie were more than excited to be able to attend “bring your child to work day” this year with Corey. Now that his office is on the 20th floor of a skyscraper on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, the kids find this totally cool! It doesn’t hurt that his office has rip-sticks, Playstations, flat screen t.v.s to watch movies, scooters, and SO MUCH MORE. It’s as much a kids playground as it is an adults. They were able to decorate and design their own T-shirts and enjoyed seeing what a day in the life of Daddy consisted of. Next year Cassie will be old enough to attend.

Easter Morning

We loved that mom and dad Doctor were able to spend Easter morning with us watching the kids find their Easter baskets and sort through their treasures. We all headed out for a delicious brunch before having to say goodbye to Mom and Dad. Thanks for another great visit you guys!

Our Illinois family was kind enough to invite us over the Saturday of Easter weekend. It’s always a good time with the Nerheim family. A little street Hockey is always a welcome addition to the festivities.

How we got all the gifts packed in our car this Christmas I will never really know. SPOILED doesn’t even begin to describe it. THANKS to mom and dad for another INSANE Christmas. I thought this was supposed to stop after the age of 20 but for some reason they seem to keep getting bigger. More relaxing, food, drinks, laughter, wrapping paper and chaos!

Christmas Morning

The chaos begins... running, screaming, jumping, laughing, cheers, the smell of coffee and breakfast baking in the oven, holiday music, wrapping paper flying, and a room FILLED with LOVE! Our kids are SO APPRECIATIVE and every gift comes with huge hugs and thank yous.....many misty eyed moments every Christmas morning and this was no exception. The kids and I surprised Corey with a Kindle and Corey in return shocked me with my gift of a weekend away in the city to see Wicked and dine at Smith and Wolensky’s. He had it all set.... mom and dad were arriving in a few weeks via the train to babysit the kids and we were finally getting some much deserved ALONE TIME!!!! HOME RUN BABE!!!!

Maddie's Bed

After the kids were tucked in on Christmas Eve, Corey and I set to work. Our gift to Maddie was a new Sleigh Bed that she has been wanting. She had picked it out a while ago as we were furniture shopping and we thought this would be the perfect time to get it for her. Since the kids were having a sleepover in Cassie and Lanie’s room we had Maddie’s room all to ourselves to take down her twin bed and set up her new full Sleigh Bed. As soon as we finished we carefully carried Maddie from her sleeping bag in the little girls room to her new bed. She fluttered her eyes and waked up for a minute to total confusion. I don’t think she fully remembered what had happened that night as when she awoke Christmas morning the surprise of her new bed was still very exciting and new.

Christmas Eve Partaaaaay!

We spent a fun filled family evening at home this Christmas Eve as we packed to head to Michigan the next day. We followed Santa on the computer and had cocktails as we made our family dinner of Shrimp, Steak, Asparagus and Cheesy Potatoes. We all sat at the “fancy” dining room table and talked about how excited we were about Santa coming that evening. After dancing to holiday tunes together as a family in front of the fireplace, Corey and I made sure all kids were nestled all snug in their beds (or sleeping bags as they always have a sleepover on Christmas eve) before starting our little project.......

Snow Buddies and Baking

A few “playing in the snow pics” as well as some of our Christmas Cookie’s that we decorated for Santa. LOVE this time of year! Holiday music playing as the snow falls and the smell of yummy things baking in the oven....ahhhh Christmas!

Christmas Surprise

Corey’s new job never ceases to amaze us. After only being with the company for about 4 weeks Corey called on his way home on the train to say that he had a big package in tow. His office had basically treated the employees like kids and they were Santa, bringing everyone into a room filled with gifts and letting them have a free for all. Corey bypassed the Kindles, PSP’s, Harmony remotes, and iPod Touches and ran for a Razor Motorized Scooter knowing full well that all 6 of us Lallo’s would LOVE IT! I’m not sure who loves it more..the kids or Corey but Corey was grinning from ear to ear as he opened the box and surprised the kids with an early Christmas present. THANKS Critical Mass!

Cassie's Birthday

Our sweet little Cassie turned 4 years old. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN?!?! We spent a quiet weekend at home playing with all the kids Christmas toys and so enjoyed giving Cassie her present. The look on her face as she ran to her new Princess Car was priceless and the squeals of excitement that went on for hours after were equally great. Cassie continues to CRACK us up. She has a gift for making all of us laugh, she is the comedian of the house no doubt. We are so lucky to be your parents sweetie... Happy 4th Birthday!!! We love you!

It really started feeling like Christmas time around Kenosha, WI after we attended Cassie’s Preschool Christmas show. We sat in the audience and enjoyed a VERY SWEET performance filled with all the holiday favorites as well as some new tunes.
