The biggest CONGRATULATIONS EVER goes out to my brother and NEW SISTER!!!! Dan and Steph are MARRIED!!!! We had the best time during the wedding week in Michigan. For those of you who didn’t attend. They got married in the Frauenthal Theater. When guests arrived to the marquee with their names and the lights lit up it was only the beginning. In the beautiful lobby was a popcorn machine and a cocktail bar set up sending guests to their red velvet seats when the lights flickered with their drink of choice and a red stripped popcorn box to watch the show. The lights went out and a huge movie screen dropped down as the 3.....2.....1 showed up on the screen to kick off their movie entitled “A love Story” it was their slide show complete with video clips from friends and family, so special! The ceremony went off without a hitch and they were pronounced HUSBAND and WIFE! After the wedding party walked back to the lobby for pictures a huge curtain on stage went up to reveal cocktail hour, a piano player, bistro tables and yummy food. The wedding party joined the guests onstage for just about twenty minutes, enough time to watch Dan surprise Steph with a BEAUTIFUL rendition of the song “Just the way you are”. Dan did such an amazing job singing as did all the groomsmen and buys singing back-up.....JOB WELL DONE GUYS! The wedding party headed out via the Trolly for pictures at the beach before heading back to start partying at the reception. More special moments there included Steph singing to her dad, the wedding toasts, the flip book station, live band, I could go on and on! Cheers to a life full of love Dan and Steph! We feel proud, lucky and blessed to call you two our brother and sister! WE LOVE YOU!

Welcome to MI Party

Aunt Kate and Uncle Mark who also were Master and Mistress of Ceremonies threw an amazing party at their lovely home the Thursday before the wedding. It was a Welcome to Michigan party for all the out of town guests who came mostly from California but also Wisconsin, Wyoming, Texas, Virginia and Colorado, just to name a few. The food was OUTSTANDING some done by the Wiseman clan and some catered by Kirby. The conversation was equally amazing and the night seemed to fly by as we celebrated in honor of Dan and Steph. GREAT JOB Wiseman Family!

Lanie's Baptism

We were elated when the Pastor who married Corey and I almost 10 years ago and also baptised our other kiddos agreed to take time out of his busy schedule to come to Mom and Dad’s for a private baptism ceremony for Lanie. We asked Uncle Dan and Aunt Steph if they would be Lanie’s Godparents and they gladly accepted. We had a quiet ceremony with the great grandparents being the only other attendees. The wedding week was SO CRAZY that I didn’t have time to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Grandma and Grandpa Worden for the check, GG for the beautiful collectible wooden figure and Aunt Kate for the adorable “Faith” sign. I can’t forget to thank Pastor Pete for being SO WONDERFUL, SPECIAL and MAGICAL. He truly brings SO MUCH emotion to everything he does and we feel so lucky to know him!

Bachelor and Bachelorette Party

Not too much explanation on this post except for Uncle Dan’s fat lip...but we won’t get into that (no worries, it was NOT a fighting situation rather just too much fun 5 days before the wedding). The boys were sweet enough to call and invite CJ for a day of golfing and water park time. It MADE HIS TRIP as he was very sad that all the boys left on Monday morning for Double JJ Resort and wouldn’t return until Wednesday. A huge thanks to our friend Jimmy for bringing CJ home for us after the water park fun. Us girls needed to have a night out being some of us weren’t able to attend Steph’s Bachelorette party in Vegas. Not sure it was quite as CRAZY in Muskegon, MI as it was in Vegas but we all had a great time and my sister was able to cut loose for one more night before she was to become Mrs. Daniel Doctor.

We excitedly boarded the Lake Express Crosslake Ferry again, thanks to Mom and Dad Doctor to head to MI for what was sure to be one AMAZING week. It was FINALLY the week of Uncle Dan and Aunt Steph;’s WEDDING!!!!! We were greeted on the pier by the waving hands of Uncle Dan, Aunt Steph, Mom and Dad and UNCLE RICH!!! We even had a surprise visit from GG and Scotty when we arrived back at mom and dad’s.

The Bozman family, who have become great friends of ours, hosted a wonderful Easter celebration at their home filled with message, fun, laughter and love. The kids had a ton of fun with games and an Easter Egg hunt while the adults enjoyed brunch and coffee. Thanks Bozman’s!

Lanie and the little boy, Greyson that I watch, followed Cassie’s class bus to the Betty Brinn Museum in Milwaukee for a day of fun. This is such a fun museum for younger kids and we had a great day exploring. Cassie was thrilled to ride in a “big kid bus” and talked forever about all the songs they sang as a class on the way up there.

Lemonade Stand and Slip n Slide

We were cleaning out our garage early spring on a HOT day and the kids decided to have a VERY IMPROMPTU lemonade sale. All the parents raided our cupboards to come up with whatever we had to “sell”. The kids were SO EXCITED and very quickly this turned into a neighborhood affair. We had neighbors and police officers stop by for a drink and they kids made about $30.00! I never remember making that kind of cash from a lemonade sale! Then the kids were hot so we set up the slip n slide in the back. We all thought they would only last 5 minutes but the laughter and fun went on for over an hour.

We were so proud of our little Kindergartener, Maddie, when her artwork was selected to go into the Kenosha Public Museum. We had a fun day touring the exhibit and Maddie had the biggest grin on her face as we all made a huge deal out of this accomplishment.

Mr Biehn Surprise

Mr. Biehn worked in Maddie’s Kindergarten class with Mrs. Glazebrook assisting another classmate. Everyone loves Mr. Biehn so when his birthday came around all the room moms and Mrs. Glazebrook set out to make it special. We had a ton of fun in class at his party and I think we pulled off the surprise.

Right after Lanie got out of the tub she headed to the bookshelf to grab her two recordable books from Grandma and Grandpa Worden and Mom and Dad Doctor. She fell asleep listening to her family members reading her a bedtime story.

We decided to head to a different place every couple days this year for Spring Break 2011. On this day we surprised the kids early in the morning and went with daddy on the train to work. When the train pulled into Ogilvie Train Station, Corey went in one direction to work and the kids and I hopped in a taxi with Shedd as our destination. When the kids and I were done playing at Shedd, we walked through Grant Park to MI Ave. and walked to Daddy’s work! Then we cabbed it to RainForest Cafe for a yummy dinner and dessert before taking the train back home.

Another WONDERFUL day of Spring Break 2011 was spent wandering around Grand Geneva Resort which used to be one of Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansions. It’s located in Lake Geneva, WI which is a wonderful place to visit with tons of shops, great food, lodging and the lake!

Timber Ridge Surprise

Click the picture for the slideshow (backspace to return). To visit the album click: Timber Ridge Surprise

Kicking off our week of Spring Break 2011 we surprised the kids by taking them to Timber Ridge Resort and water park. They had NO IDEA what we were doing and we just played it off like we were checking out the area. Corey had already went in to get the key so when we were walking the halls exploring, Corey and I threw the key on the floor and asked the kids to pick it up. We joked about how cool it would be if it opened one of the rooms. We told the kids to try it out and their eyes about popped out of their heads when it worked! As soon as we were inside the room we asked the kids if they would like to stay. The sheer excitement, screams, hugs, laughter, WOO HOO’s and more made it magical for us. We had TONS of junk food and pizza that night and stayed up late laughing and playing after a full day at the Water Park! We even ran into one of Maddie’s teachers, Mr. Biehn, as well as a couple friends of CJ and Maddie’s.

Sarah, Aunt Kathy, Carson and Molly

From Sarah, Aunt Kathy, Carson and Molly

We were so happy that this group of weary travelers needed a place to rest their heads for a night and break up their long journey from Wyoming to Michigan. It was so much fun to spend some time making memories with cousin Sarah, her beautiful kiddos Carson and Molly and our wonderful Aunt Kathy. Sarah and I escaped for some girl time on a nice walk, we ate the worlds largest pizza and chatted the night away. The kids caught fireflies and had fun swimming together. We hope the Groll family and Aunt Kathy know that they are ALWAYS welcome to crash at the Lallo’s!

Headshots

For Uncle Dan and Aunt Steph’s wedding we had to take head shots for their wedding program. We puled out our camera and hit our backyard to try to capture each of the Lallo 6. Their wedding was in the beautiful Frauenthal Theater in downtown Muskegon, MI and their wedding programs were designed with the theater theme of a Playbill from a famous show, truly awesome!

All of our Mummy Tea group was THRILLED when we found out that our dear friends, Anita and Jan and their daughter Evelien were coming home from Puerto Rico for a visit. We got together a few times during their stay but it just didn’t seem like enough time. Good news is that they are looking to be back in the Chicago area very soon. For those of you that follow our blog...these are the same little girls that have been playing together since they were all 2-4 weeks old! They were all born at the same hospital and were all born within about a month of each other! I have NO CLUE what I would do without these girls in my life, they are all amazing!

Another wonderful visit with Grandma and Grandpa Worden and Aunt Deb. We were so excited that Aunt Kate, Meghan and Gracie came to spend a night with us too. It was a short visit but we managed to squeeze in a cocktail or two that evening, a bit of catching up and tons of laughs as Meghan dreaded falling asleep with Rascal the rabbit on the loose. We enjoyed coffee and delicious coffee cake in the morning before we all headed for the train station to depart to downtown Chi-town for a day of fun at Ed Debevics and Shedd. Thanks to our wonderful family for taking the time out to come and visit the Lallo bunch, it really means a lot to us! We love you all!

Uncle Dan was in the Windy City for a work conference and we were lucky enough to make it a family affair. Mom and Dad Doctor met us in the city too and we had a fun time swimming, visiting Corey’s office and taking in the beautiful sights of downtown Chicago.
