Exciting News!!

It was the Tuesday before we headed to Muskegon for our Boyne trip when my phone rang in Kenosha, WI. It was my brother calling from his home state of California.
Brother: "Well, I did it, it's in my hand, I JUST BOUGHT THE RING!!!!"
Me: "OH MY GOD....(sobbing)....OH MY GOD....(more sobbing)...I'M SO EXCITED....sobbing, etc.)"

The rest of our conversation was a blur but there was one thing I knew for sure....He had made the best decision of his life! After about 5 years of dating it was time, we all knew this was coming we just didn't know for sure WHEN. Well the Boyne trip 2010 was going to be the time. Dan knew that he wanted it to be up there being both he and Steph had toured with the Young Americans and they both had worked in the dinner theater up there during different summers. It was a special place for both of them. They are both from Michigan as well so this just felt right. Dan had invited Steph's parents up so that they could share in the excitement and to say that it was emotional and perfect is the understatement of the year.

After the boys headed up that 18th hole of golf and the rest of us headed to the pool, Dan and Steph disappeared. The rest of us could hardly contain ourselves as we tried to be patient and sit by the pool. Those 45 minutes or so felt like hours as our anticipation grew. We watched the door to the pool constantly waiting for them to walk through the doors. Finally there they were, the look was all over their faces. They were no longer boyfriend and girlfriend, THEY WERE ENGAGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We all jumped up and cheered and popped a bottle of champagne as we all laughed and cried. Hugs and kisses and stories were shared in what was truly one magical evening.

And now.....I HAVE AN AMAZING, SWEET, LOVING, GENUINE and KINDHEARTED SISTER!!!!!!!!
I am on cloud nine, Corey, the kids and I could not be happier! Dan and Steph asked both Corey and I along with all of our kiddo's to be in there wedding and that sent us over the edge as well!
We are HONORED to stand up for them on their special day and feel SO LUCKY to call them our brother and sister!
WE LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH....CONGRATULATIONS!
