After the boys had their three days of golf, it was the girls turn to have a day! Mom, Steph, and I hit the town of Petoskey for some shopping and a yummy lunch. We had the best time together and it was at a store counter of a cute little shop when Steph asked me to be one of her bridesmaids. It was such a funny moment. She assumed I knew that I was in the wedding but you can never assume these things! She mentioned that she saw these cute hair pieces and wondered if I would be cool with wearing something like that at the wedding. I was caught off guard and said something like...."well, sure...are you having the family... coordinate?" She looked at me like I was crazy (assuming I knew I was a bridesmaid). We had a long awkward pause which consisted of the two of us staring at each other making confused faces. This was getting weird. The store clerk was kind of looking at us funny and waiting for us to pay. Finally Steph blurted out..." Well I want you to be a bridesmaid, you know that?!?!?" We both laughed and hugged and cried, it was really sweet! People were watching us as we had our little moment! It's one I will never forget.
While all of this was taking place in town, they boys created a little magic of their own and discovered a farm with the kids. Corey turned into a 10 year old again and took over launching food to the animals in the field via a MASSIVE sling shot! FUN STUFF!
