We were all SOOOO excited for our next set of visitors. La Quinta owes us some coupons or something as we have been bringing them some pretty steady business. Grandpa George, Grandma Doris and Aunt Deb were eager to check out the Gurnee area. We had to pare down the list of attractions to show off for this trip to fit what we could into two days. A huge highlight of the trip was George's prized LGB electric train that Grandma Doris had given him as a present for their first Christmas 15 years ago. Grandma and Grandpa wanted the kids to have this treasure, complete with Christmas themed cars for the holiday season. The kid in all of us had a blast setting it up and playing with it. The classics never die.
