The Lake Forest hospital is indeed fantastic, beautiful and accommodating but just not home. You could probably understand Daddy wanting to get out of there but even Jen was itching to get some form of normalcy. We decided to leave after the minimum 24 hour stay and get busy incorporating Lanie into our routine. We enjoyed the famous Lake Forest complimentary dinner for Mommy and Daddy and selected the filet mignon with all the sides, dessert, and some long awaited Cokes for Jen.
Our friend Joan and cousin Lori both graced us with quick visits and presents for Lanie just before we headed out. We packed up the room and our girl and went home to start our new adventure.
