to remember:

We are currently at Mom and Dad Doctor's house for the wedding of Jen's best friend. The upstairs is the "Lallo Wing" and the three big kids are all in the same room. Maddie and Cassie cuddle arm in arm, CJ's feet jut out into the room from his floor nest and Lanie's Pack n' Play serves as a clothes hanger as she ends up between Jen and I most nights. Here are some things that run the risk of being forgotten or perhaps drive us nuts during the day. Jen and I sat and listened to the chorus of sleeping breathes tonight knowing we would someday miss these things among many others.

Maddie insists she can't whisper. When asked to use her inside voice she argues "My voice can't do that!" She also won't take a picture with her pretty smile, she employs her goofy face unless repeatedly reminded.

Cassie won't go to sleep unless she is on the skin of Daddy's arm. She also refers to herself in the third person "Dee-Dee too."

CJ will take every word from a classmate or teacher as truth and vehemently disagrees with us if we are not in accordance with these "facts". He wakes up bright and early with 14 stories to tell you in vivid detail.

Lanie is too small for nearly every one of her sleepers so all of her arms and legs end up pushing out on the torso part. It looks frustrating and she let's us know. However, she doesn't make you work very hard for a smile.

As I read the bit about CJ and his stories - all I could hear in my head was your voice from the summer I worked with you at 'Shores:

"I told you never trust a monkey!"
