6 Year Wedding Anniversary

j15 Anniversary

We've come a long way baby.

In some ways it seems like yesterday but in others it seems like a heck of a lot longer. When you start a relationship as young as we did you run the risk of growing apart, or worse not growing at all. While both of us view each other as a whole and individually as a work in progress I would have to say we are extremely pleased with how much we have grown. What is more, we are insanely in love and couldn't be happier with the road we are on. We are friends and teammates to be sure but we also don't shy away from the inevitable conflict of a marriage. We are brutally honest when needed and constantly hone, adapt and test our philosophy on life, love and legacy. The fourth was our six year wedding anniversary and the 16th (yesterday) was the seven year anniversary of my proposal. I would do it all over again.

Keeping with our pattern of celebration centered around food, Jen made a Low Country Boil with fresh seafood and vegetable for the whole family. CJ and I made straight for the crawdads, everyone enjoyed the crab legs, shrimp, potatoes and corn and we finished the night off with S'mores.

When I serve my family a bag of M&Ms it's an equally colorful presentation. I can relate to what you've got going there.

:-D You two are great relationship role models and I have a great sense that you'll easily go the distance.
