WE FOUND SAND!!! We have previously lamented the absence of nice white sand beaches this side of the lake that don't carry a $1000/yr price tag for a pass. Just 15 minutes north, just into Wisconsin, we found a gorgeous beach surrounded by the harbor city of Kenosha. Being an unplanned trip we let the kids jump in Lake Michigan in their underwear. Jen and I sat in the sand and enjoyed the view while the kids spent almost two hours playing in the sand and water.

Reminds me of our Roosevelt Park days' Family Fun Nights-beginning with an after dinner walk or bike ride to the gas station for snacks and then a couple of hours camped out in front of the TV for TGIF primetime.
