Night Time Corn Maze

Jen always talks about simple night time surprises that left indelible memories of fun and spontaneity from her childhood. We have found that adding that unexpected twist can make a fun activity unforgettable, for the kids and us. When we told them to get dressed for a quick drive, they didn't know we had already packed flashlights and coats. We pulled back into Kroll's Farm as the sun was setting. The corn maze is open until 10pm and going through at night is one of their most popular times. We were given instructions on navigating the 4 acre maize maze, including escape routes and how to play the educational game within the maze. Cassie spent most of the time in a backpack with Daddy and the two big kids took turns navigating through the 9 foot tall corn on a crystal clear night using flashlights and the moon and stars. We collected clues for later questions and kept score with punches in our score cards. Almost a full hour later (which is about average) we emerged to applause. The kids talked excitedly for most of the short ride home but asked if we could skip books and just let them go to sleep. Um..no problem. What a great night!

How cool! So hopeful for the chance to see all of you this weekend. It's going to be a busy one. I'll keep a good thought.
